Well thought outGreat shelter. It’s ready to go straight out of the box. I also love the oversized carry bag because it’s impossible to get others back in the bag. The design is perfect. Clam makes great products all around, I have their gloves, straight down rod, and this shelter. Next is their bibs which I’ll buy next season. I am switching all my gear to clam over the next few seasons, all of the details are so well thought out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

X400 lightingBought the X400 hub from Scheels. Had a small issue with the lighting kit. Two emails with Clam reps and they had what I needed shipped. This is true customer service. Not long waits with robo answering machines. Real people doing what is right. Nice work Clam Outdoors.

Great tentI used this last season (first ice shelter) and found that it was great for three anglers for just fishing, perfect for two for a longer time out/camping. My propane heater was more than enough to keep it toasty in the coldest temperatures. The big door is great but I had to learn not to let it get slushed up and frozen at the bottom. The triangular door on the windward side didn’t have that trouble.

Review of the X-400I've absolutely loved this shelter since I bought two seasons ago! The Max Entry door is very large and I like that there is a skirt on the bottom so that I can bank it without worrying about the wind blowing in the door area. I chose this model since I do a lot of hand pulling of gear onto the ice and it is light enough where it isn't a problem and it's big enough for my two ladies to fish in or 3 adults when I've had friends out. I've even grilled in it and still had two people fishing! This is a great warm and tough hub!

Best Shack $ Can BuyThis thing is legit. Have had it for a couple ice seasons and this is the best shack I have ever been in. Can’t really go wrong with this one. Highly recommend

X-400 Hub reviewUsed my new X-400 hub up in Brainerd, MN last season in the subzero temps of early ice January and this shack performed excellent! Anchored down easy to the ice on high wind days and was very manageable to set up. I was able land my biggest walleye of the season out of this shack!

Awesome 3-4 person shelter!I've used the X-400 Max Entry hub for two seasons now and it's by far the best 3-person (4 if kids are involved) hub I've used! Easy to put up and pack down, extremely warm, and a great big tall door to step in and out of! I've wheeled our portable grill into it to cook and there's still plenty of room for 2 people to fish while cooking in it. It's made being on the ice much easier for my wife and daughter since getting it!
