GREAT SHELTERThis shelter is perfect to pull by hand very happy with the quality and construction of this shelter. Came with a light bar, that doesn't work properly. battery bracket, and a cover, cover is great.

Excellent one man shelterI love my Kenai Pro XT. Best features are the XT design, thermal material and deep tub. The only thing I found so far that needs attention is the thickness of the tub. I found it to be inconsistent in some key areas and found some small holes developing where rounded areas are in the corners. I got the hitch and pull it with my snowmobile for ultimate portability. I replaced my add on runners with 5/8 x 2 1/2 HDPE industrial moly strips which are much thicker and wider than stock ones and should last a lifetime. Another tip I found was needed is to place some thick and wide washers or spacers inside the tub on the bolts that fasten your runners. I have experienced a pull through already due to the thin tub material. This would only be needed if you pull it by snowmobile though. I only pull it on ice and snow as I live on the lake I fish.

Parts are all wrongPurchased this in December. And they sent all the wrong parts in my package the light pole assembly is wrong and the clamps are wrong. The description doesn’t match the parts and assembly. Bought this for my dad for Christmas and the only way to reach out to customer service is by email. And that takes 2-3 days for a response so it’s dragging out the entire process for weeks. I will not recommend any clam products to my fellow fisherman.

Wrong polesNot to happy as the wrong lite poles were sent and i have not had a responce back for a week on what to do. No help at all... ive met 4 people who have had this issue this week! 12/5/2025

having a hard time putting this thing togetherthe half hoop poles are drilled further apart than Swivel Plate and the 106743 end plug. I went on line to see if there's been a recall or multiple complaints. All I found was a YouTube from 2016 and the guy was saying how he had to drill holes in his poles to get it together. I realize that $600 dollars isn't a lot of money but if they can't put together a product that doesn't need modifying, let me know. I always thought Clam was the leader in flip over ice shanties, obviously not

Great flip overI've had this shack for about 2 years now, and I am obsessed. I am so glad I got the shack. Being able to run and gun with a shack is a game changer. Lots of room, and very warm in freezing temps. Highly recommend.

Have same flipoverHad several clam ice shelters. This is my second Kenai. My first extra tall. Love it! Added many extra features to it. Just added lights and battery box. Can't say enough about this!!

Great one person shelterI was looking for a light one man shelter for the beginning of the season mostly and this one is outstanding. It first needed to be light, would fit in a small truck bed under the bed cover without needing to remove the bed cover. This was the perfect shelter for me.

Great one person shelter!This shelter is light enough to pull manually if there is not too much snow. The sled is large enough to stow all the gear you need including heaters, minnows, livescope, rod box, etc. The thick shell keeps up with the coldest temps. When attached to a machine and angled correctly, will keep up with about any wind. Easy to enter and exit, lots of great accessories available. Used mine for years now, no maintenance needed other than new runners every few years.

Kenai XTLove this shelter. Easy to assemble. Like it when it's nasty out flip over, when it warms up flip open. Definitely recommend for the person that likes to fish solo!

100% satisfiedI highly recommend the Kenai XT Thermal, it was easy to set up myself following the Clam install videos and performed through the wind, below 0° wind chill, and even a rain storm at the end of the season. Plenty of room that fit my heater, auger, rod case, bait bucket, and a few electronics. I even brought my young kid and we fished inside it together. I'm happy to always buy Clam products.
