Use with the Predator Tip Up - No Brainerf you are using the Predator Tip Ups then these are the perfect rods for it. Use the 36" for panfish and smaller walleye sized fish. Use the 42" for bigger predator fish and for flag mode to set the hook yourself if you want. Made of fiber glass so they won't shatter after being set and left for hours in the cold. No brainer.

Perfect for Auto Hook SettingI picked up one of the Predator Tip-Ups at the ice fishing show now that automatic hook setters are legal in MN. I had planned to use one of my existing rods but they were all too soft, too stiff or had too fast of action only bending at the tip. I decided to buy a Predator rod after seeing it in the set up at the show and was very impressed. Have only taken it out once so far but went 1-for-1 on my only bite on a 23" pike. I'm so impressed with the action of it I ended up buying both the Medium and Medium Heavy to use depending on what I'm chasing. I don't think it would be a great all-purpose or jigging rod, but you'd have a hard time finding something better for automatic hook setting for anywhere near the price.

Trout killerGreat rod, use while jigging for lake trout. The 42” rod makes it easy to jig big strokes in search of big lakers.
