The Clam CH-10000vh Portable Propane Radiant Heater is the ultimate in portable heaters for the sportsman. This incredibly durable heater is rugged built for the ice fisherman, but excels in all situations where a portable heater is required. This portable heater has a maximum BTU of 10,000 and is an industry first propane heater with a variable heat range! No more being cold on low power and shedding all your layers on high. With the Clam CH-10000vh you have full control of the temperature in your shelter. This unit has a fully adjustable output ranges of 5,500 to 10,000 BTU. The CH-10000vh also has a dependable electronic ignition, starting your heater has never been easier. The Clam CH-10000vh can utilize a disposable 1 lb. propane cylinder or can be attached to a refillable tank.

Worst heater I've ownedLove the ignition... Hate everything else. Won't stay lit. Pitter patters with little heat. Have to reignite every 5 minutes. Love clam, hate their heaters! Will not work with a twenty pound tank even with their regulator and hose. Not a rich person and very disappointed

AmazingI won mine during a squirrel hunting tournament last winter and it out performs both of my other brands heaters by great upgrades and ideas.

Heater ReviewGreat heater, well built....great design. Would have been my #1 choice in portable lightweight propane heaters for my business
**HOWEVER**
CLAM does not offer a soft-sided carrying bag for these so we had to return all of them that we purchased. They will simply get damaged if they are in a sled behind a snow machine or from day-to-day use as a fishing guide. A carrying bag makes a huge difference in how long this product will last. I reached out to clam and a representative informed me there were no plans in the future to create a carrying bag for this heater. That's too bad, I reverted back to our old product which has served us well for years because it has a case.Posted on

Good heater, bring batteriesI like the heater a lot and bought it for the electric start, but after my first battery died I wished there was a mechanical start like the other heaters. Luckily I brought an extra pack of lithium batteries so I was able to quickly change and warm the shanty back up.

Not goodBought it thinking that everything clam makes for ice fishing is usually top 5 rstijg but this product was not. In a 2 man pull over it didn't even keep 2 people warm enough to take the edge over. I will be sticking to Mr Buddy heater

Very good, reliable portable heaterCompared to my old Portable Buddy heater, the 10000 Clam portable one has been an upgrade! One-handed ignition makes it much easier than the Portable Buddy and the variable heat really lets me dial in the perfect temperature as opposed to either low or high on the Buddy. Heats up my X-400 or Nanook shelters quick and keeps it comfortable.

Go to heaterThe feature that first caught my eye was the heavy duty grill in front. Looked tough and the whole heater absolutely is durable.
Electronic ignition is quiet and reliable. I also really like the infinite heat adjustment so I can tweak it and get just the right temp.
Heats a clam X200 perfectly, but also works great in smaller shack.Posted on
