The Drop Jig XXL weighs in at a full 1/8 oz. but comes with a compact 7 mm tungsten body. It features an XXL #4 Hook - two hook sizes larger than The Drop for large panfish and all gamefish species. XXL size means larger wire diameter resulting in a stronger hook with a longer shank for stringing more live bait and larger plastics. Plus, the hook has a larger gap for better hookups and a larger tie-eye for cold hands, old eyes, and larger line diameters.

XXL Drop JIgI like the tungsten jig for its weight and quick drop. I use it in the fall and winter. Gold is my favorite.

Great for bigger fishI’ve had really good results deadsticking the Drop Jig XXL for lake trout. The weight gets it down fast and keeps it stable on bottom, and even with minimal movement it still draws interest. Lakers would come in and commit without needing aggressive jigging. It’s a solid choice when a more subtle presentation works better.
